The Realm of Infinite Impossibilities For most people, how they live their lives is dictated by others. This process begins very early in life and most notably in school, where rules of behavior and assumptions about what is, or is not, possible for us as individuals, dominates. These assumptions, about who you are, and what you can become, continue throughout life and usually are most strongly reinforced once one enters the workforce and begins their working "career". Furthermore, day-to-day experiences with bureaucratic institutions, such as government offices, large business bureaucracies, and educational institutions, continually reinforce a mindset that one should look at life, and events, with a negative, "it is impossible", orientation. One constantly encounters people whose mindset is clearly cemented into the Realm of Infinite Impossibilities. Without apparent reason, and with no conscious thought to limit their own life's opportunities and happiness, the overwhelming majority of adults (95%) live their lives as though it was someone else's responsibility to write the story of their life! This way of regarding one's own experiences and opportunities for change is so pervasive that most people live their lives not even recognizing the total power of this "truth" about their own life. But!, it is NOT REAL!! It is a construct of nothing more than our collective thoughts and beliefs that we have been programmed with for literally all of our lives. When individuals are confronted with choice, they repeatedly choose to believe that they must select the path that has been chosen for them, the path of no opportunity and low risk. Their dominant belief system, their internal voice, tells them; that hopes and aspirations are for the foolish; that they don't deserve the success or happiness they want; that only "special" people have achieved success, and that they don't have what it takes to be successful. The overwhelming emotion that controls and limits their
ever taking a chance at changing the outcome of their lives
is... FEARfear of failure, fear of ridicule, fear of appearing different from the masses, and fear of assuming responsibility for their own personal destiny. Are you putting your fears to use, or are you allowing them to stop you? Fear can teach you, prepare you, heighten your senses, motivate you, and compel you to take action. It can also bring you to a standstill. Fear is a powerful influence. Whether its influence is useful or destructive is up to you. Fear is a strong message -- a message imploring you to action. It is telling you to do something, to focus your efforts, to make a positive difference. It is a reminder you are capable of much more than you believe. Your fear is urging you to do whatever it takes to turn a difficult situation into an opportunity for personal growth and improvement. If you hide from your fears, you also hide from your positive possibilities. Life is far too precious and short to spend it hiding from yourself. Whenever you feel fear, ask What positive action is this fear preparing me to take? Then learn how to take the action necessary to reclaim your personal power. There is powerful energy in fear. See it, feel it, and use it to move yourself forward. It is in-fact a "Realm of Infinite IMpossibilities" characteristic that says, "I don't really have the power to choose my life's direction". "I am at the mercy of the random forces of, luck, economics, big government, and all the external forces that I can identify". It is a world of excuses and defensive rationalizations for all that occurs in one's life, so long as personal responsibility for the outcomes is avoided at all costs. Other individuals, who exhibit the strange and dangerous behavior of actually wanting to take risks, take responsibility for their lives, improve their lot and become successful in life by hard work and determination, are regarded with great suspicion. These crazy people create an enormous sense of unease in most people because they raise the fears that are suppressed by not challenging life's assumptions. These crazy people have to be ridiculed and convinced to return to the fold, so that the comfort of the pack is not upset. Most importantly, these crazy people must not be encouraged to be successful, since their success will disprove the validity of living in the, Realm of Infinite IMpossibilities. This land is safe, predictable, unchanging, and does not demand risk taking, personal or intellectual growth, or personal responsibility. Realm of Infinite Possibilities There is, of course, another place..... That place is the Realm of Infinite Possibilities . And, like any other "place" it resides between our ears. It is an attitude and belief system that anything is possible, and that history has shown millions of times that individuals who desire to change their lives, can, and do, achieve remarkable transformations. The messages of teachers like; Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale, Jim Rohn, George Zalucki, and countless others, serve to provide the markers along the path, and the support systems that lead us away from the, Realm of Infinite IMpossibilities to the positive, open-ended Realm of Infinite Possibilities. Choice, personal responsibility, refusing to let fear conquer action, maintaining positive action, looking to the future with optimism and excitement, and a thirst for new and enlightening knowledge, and adventure, mark those individuals who live in the Realm of Infinite Possibilities Despite frustrations with those who refuse to understand this, it is essential to realize that they may be forever stuck in the Realm of Infinite IMpossibilities. Most people, perhaps 95%, cannot make the transition, largely out of the paralyzing fear that they don't have the right stuff to make the change. This is not surprising, since most people have been receiving that message about themselves for their entire lives. It is extremely difficult for people to see past the initial challenge and discomfort of moving out of the familiar territory of dependence, and into self- reliance and personal change. Realistically, most will simply never venture into this unfamiliar territory, and many who make tentative steps to try, quickly retreat into the safety of their unrewarding, but familiar, existence. Those who have made the transition, taken the risks, faced the failures and learned by them, and have learned that life in the Realm of Infinite Possibilities is not as frightening as it first appears, indeed that it is life-affirming!, need to encourage others, support their efforts, and show them the way. However, it must be recognized that few make the transition. Most remain in the land of nod, content with their unrealized dreams and opportunities. Creating a successful future takes energy, effort and concentrated thinking. That's the reason most people don't do it. It takes a bold and deliberate decision to become one
